Michaël Dupret wins the Carnaval tournament

16 players, a good turnout for a Tuesday night

Top 3 of the evening: Marain - Dupret - Despretz
On Tuesday the Templeuve United club was hosting a "Carnaval tournament" with a much appreciated turnout of 16 players including two French guys. There were some newcomers and some more experienced players and Steffen Despretz (AS Hennuyer) was a last minute guest. As usual the evening was played in Swiss System with four sessions. In the first session, there were two "clashes" and Steffen Despretz managed to defeat Geoffrey Marain while Michaël Dupret took the best on Vincent Coppenolle. These four players would finally end in the top 4 positions but we had to wait the last session to decide the winner, when Michaël Dupret (Magic Team Tournai) won the decisive game against Steffen Despretz to finish with 12 points. Geoffrey Marain finished in the second position thanks to a better goal difference than Steffen Despretz, Vincent Coppenolle and Corentin Boltz. This is only the second WASPA title for Michaël Dupret in the regional events while he recently won a promotional tournament after a long hyatus.
